We want to make everyone aware of a recent round of sophisticated phishing and impersonation emails targeting TalentLaunch. These messages may appear to come from internal leaders, vendors, or accounting contacts - but are actually attempts to trick recipients into opening attachments, approving fake invoices, or changing payment details.
Please take a moment to review the common red flags below. Even a single mistaken click or approval can expose the company to financial loss, data compromise, or account takeover.
Red Flags to Watch For
Unfamiliar or unusual sender addresses, even if the display name looks correct
Emails referencing invoices, payments, or bank detail changes
Unexpected file attachments or “urgent” requests
Messages that attempt to mimic a long internal conversation
Poor grammar, formatting inconsistencies, or overly generic phrasing
Requests that bypass normal approval channels
Emails asking you to “verify,” “re-send,” or “update” banking information
What To Do If You Receive a Suspicious Email
Do not click links or open attachments
Do not forward it internally
Immediately report it to IT/Security using the Phish Alert button (or forward to [email protected])
When in doubt, call the sender using a previously verified phone number — not the number in the suspicious email
Why These Scams Are Becoming More Common
Attackers are increasingly using:
AI-generated emails
Spoofed internal threads
Impersonation of executives
Fake SOWs or vendor conversations
These messages are designed to look legitimate and are often sent to accounting, leadership, and operations teams.
Your vigilance is our strongest defense.
If anything feels off - trust your instincts. Reporting a false alarm is always better than ignoring something suspicious.
Thank you for staying alert and helping keep TalentLaunch secure.
