Currently all Chromebooks are set up to download files straight to Google Drive. To change where downloads are stored, follow these instructions.
1. Click the 3 dots in the top right corner of your Google browser and select settings.
2. Select Downloads in left hand side
3. Click on change locations and select where you want the downloads to be stored. You can set up a new Google Drive Folder if you want to keep them stored within a folder for organization.
4. Once the file path (folder/location) is selected, your downloads should now save to that new location.
